The 2022 OBIE Awards
The OBIE Awards are the most prestigious honors for creative excellence in out of home advertising. From eye-popping billboards to inventive transit takeovers, vibrant digital screens, and state-of-the-art augmented reality, the OBIEs prove that OOH grows every day.
While the formats may evolve, these campaigns have stirred the same emotions for centuries. OBIE is short for “obelisk,” the ancient stone pillars that grabbed attention in town squares across ancient Egypt, and are the foundation of modern advertising. As it was then, some of today’s OOH stories are simple, some are layered with complexity, but all — just for a moment — stop time for everyone who sees them.
For eight decades, the OBIEs have been synonymous with the most innovative, most breathtaking campaigns in the industry, and each year they remind us why OOH is the creatives’ favorite medium.
